gpx.toys keeps your route data temporary

What You Upload

When you create a route flyover, gpx.toys may process an activity file, a Garmin public activity link, optional photos, and optional music choices. These files are used to generate your video.

Automatic Deletion

Uploaded activity files, uploaded photos, job metadata, and generated MP4 videos are automatically deleted after 24 hours. Cleanup runs when the app starts and then periodically in the background.

Logs That Remain

Append-only operational logs remain after job cleanup. These logs are used for basic dashboard metrics, troubleshooting, abuse prevention, and service health. They do not keep your uploaded GPX/FIT/TCX files, photos, or generated MP4 files.

Browser Sessions

gpx.toys uses an HTTP-only browser session cookie so your browser can see its own render queue. The dashboard stores aggregate session counts using a short one-way session hash, not the raw cookie value.

Garmin Links

If you paste a Garmin public activity link, gpx.toys fetches the public activity data needed to create a GPX route for rendering. The generated route data follows the same 24-hour deletion policy.
